Second storey extension and internal works, Menston, Leeds

The owners of this property wanted to create a larger master bedroom and dressing room.

In order to achieve this, the roof of the adjoining garage was removed to add a second storey with a vaulted ceiling to the house.

The design evolved throughout the process in consultation with the client and sympathetic materials were used to stunning effect.

The TJ Pybus team ensured that the project was 90% complete before the works had to break through into the main property, in order to minimise disruption to the client.

This project received a Certificate of Merit at the 2007 FMB Master Builder of the Year Awards.
